Resolute Women’s Support Services is calling on the public to help protect The Lotus, a dedicated support hub at risk of closure due to funding challenges.
Resolute Women’s Support Services is raising funds to protect The Lotus, a safe and welcoming space where women can access one-to-one support, peer support groups, advocacy and holistic therapies.
The hub provides more than access to services. It offers women a place to feel safe, connect with others and access support as they work towards rebuilding their lives.
However, funding challenges mean the future of The Lotus is at risk. Resolute is now appealing to residents, businesses and the wider public to help raise the money needed to protect the hub and the support it provides.
Deborah Jones, CEO of Resolute Women’s Support Services, said:
“Without urgent financial support, we risk losing The Lotus, a dedicated space in Barnsley town centre where women affected by domestic abuse can access support. For women who may feel isolated or unsure where to turn, having a safe place where they can talk, meet others with similar experiences and access support can be incredibly important.
We want to continue providing these services and ensure women have somewhere they can turn to when they need help. However, we cannot guarantee the future of The Lotus without additional funding. Every donation will help Resolute work towards keeping this space open and continuing to support women in our community."
The charity hopes that public support will help secure the future of The Lotus and enable women to continue accessing a safe space and vital support in Barnsley.
Every donation can contribute towards the campaign, while sharing the appeal can help reach more people who may be able to support the cause.
